Web Ads 4U2

A friend of mine opened this offer to place and ad on the Internet for his new business:   "This, - he said - isn't any ordinary offer." He opened the envelope and stared at both the letter and the card inside.   "I got this the first time I started up my shop, 8 or 9 weeks ago. I have never replied to it.

I was waiting for things to pick up first.
Well, I guess that was that. He went to the desk and placed the envelope onto the other things he was taking to the burn box behind the house, his wife just sighed. He turned to me and said:

"I never used anything from a special offer. Every proposal in your life can't be really a special offer - can it" ? His business had to fold after less than three months of operations. He never advertised, said it was a waste of time & effort.

I still think those words changed my life.
Now I read more and throw out less. I sit in my office without worrying about advertising my business. I found a company to do that for me. So that I can spend more time with my family, and less of that costly time at work.
I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through. I no longer throw away anything, until I've read it first. I use just 20 minutes of my time every day. I'll read new offers first to sort out the super-deals.
I don't save special bargains for special occasions, I use them whenever I can. The words "Someday..." and "One Day..." are fading away from my dictionary. If it's worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now.

I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew the business wouldn't be there the next morning, this nobody can tell. I think she might have called all of her relatives and closest friends, and theirs too.
She might have called old friends to make some great offer about her newest products.

I'd like to think she would have done more advertising. It's these small things that I would regret not doing, if I knew my business was failing. I would regret it, because I would no longer see the results I need, letters... letters that I wanted to write "One of these days".

I would regret it and feel bad, because I didn't send them out to all of my prospective or current clients, not enough times at least, to say how much I depend on them for having a good business relationship.

Now, I try not to delay, postpone or keep anything that could bring profit and growth into our company.
And, on each morning, I say to myself that this could be a special sales day.
Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.
If you got this, it's because someone is interested in helping your company grow through advertising. And because, probably, that's something your concerned about too.

If you're too busy to send this out to other people and you say to yourself that you will send it "One of these days", remember that "One day" is far away... or might never come...
